Ms Belinda

Hi, my name is Belinda Lo. I was born and grew up in Taiwan. Then, I continued studying in Australia and United States to gain my BA and MA. After I graduated from graduate school, I moved to California until now. I have worked with children from year 1988 until now. I have been inspired and touched by children since I became a teacher. In addition, my mother, a Children Literacy & Chinese Literacy Professor at National Teachers’ University in Taiwan, influenced me. She is a great model for me. How she educated me influenced my growing path and led me to my Early Childhood Education major. I love children, and I believe that children are the future masters of the world.

They are eager to gain any knowledge, as much as they can. I realized the more I am involved with children, the more I learn through them, even after years and years of teaching. I received my Bachelor’s degree in Early Children’s Education and Master’s Degree in education in the United States (Specializing in ECE). After I graduated, my professor promoted me to work with a Government unique research program (Even Start Family Literacy) as a lead teacher in the public school system for one year before I moved to California. I chose to work at a Montessori School when I moved here. Therefore, we could compare the difference between regular /traditional/ play base Early childhood education and Montessori Education.

Afterward, I fell in love with the Montessori Method and decided to continue my career at Montessori School in 1996. During this period, I have worked with 2½ years old through 6 years old children. I know that most of them are very successful in their further schooling. I have completed my Montessori Training through The Montessori teacher education Center San Francisco Bay Area in San Leandro (AMS) and South Bay Teacher College (National Center for Montessori Education).

During 2006 and 2007, I continued my professional growth through the Community Child Care Council of Santa Clara Valley and West Valley College, I gained my Professional Growth Advisor Certificate and Child care Program Site Director Permit, I will continue to educate children to enrich their world and lead them to explore this happy world. You and I can work together to make it happen to your child!

Ms Sanghera

I grew up in the midwest and have lived in many places since my high school years. I spent ten years doing work is an Interior Designer, and for a bank in Minneapolis before I returned to college to gain my undergraduate degree in early childhood and elementary education.

Part of my education at Winona State University, Winona, MN included student teaching at a primary school in London, U.K. When I returned I accepted a teaching job as a First Grade teacher in Citrus County, FL. The following year I married and a few years later our son, Adam was born. We moved to Sunnyvale in October, 1997. When Adam was 18 months-old I joined the staff/at Appleseed Montessori as a co-teacher at Dunford Ave., Suite 500 Room 3. One year later my husband transferred to a job in San Diego, and we spent 14 months in southern California.

We returned to San Jose in September, 2000 and I was very happy to return to Appleseed in October, 2000. I value Maria Montessori’s philosophy and I completed the course work for Montessori training at the SF Bay Area Montessori Teacher Education Center. I have also continued my early childhood education with courses taken at West Valley College.

I believe education is never-ending and what is learned in preschool is a foundation for what lies ahead. Fostering independence, self-discipline and self-worth in young children should be eminent while providing a safe, nurturing, friendly environment. Academic disciplines are best learned when the child is attracted to the classroom materials and wants to manipulate these materials. Therefore, the child’s curiosity will naturally lead him or her towards the academic disciplines when he or she is ready. The teacher and parents are the guides, and I welcome the opportunity to build an education foundation for your child with you.

Ms Trisa

My name is Trisa Park, I’ve been working for Appleseed since 2015, I started out working at the Dunford International location, then transferred to our De Anza site and I am now enjoying my time here at Warner. I have eight years of teaching experience from middle school to toddler age children.

My first teaching job was as an art teacher for a small art studio called Hidden Talent in San Jose. There I taught middle school to toddler age children for three years. While there I had an opportunity to work with primary aged children I realized that I actually really enjoyed teaching and soon began taking Child Development Courses at De Anza College. I also have a Bachelor’s degree in fine art form Rhode Island School of Design. I am so excited to get to know you and your child! If you have any questions feel free to ask!
